וְשֵׁ֤ם הָאִישׁ֙ נָבָ֔ל וְשֵׁ֥ם אִשְׁתּ֖וֹ אֲבִגָ֑יִל וְהָאִשָּׁ֤ה טֽוֹבַת־שֶׂ֙כֶל֙ וִ֣יפַת תֹּ֔אַר וְהָאִ֥ישׁ קָשֶׁ֛ה וְרַ֥ע מַעֲלָלִ֖ים וְה֥וּא כלבו [כָלִבִּֽי׃]
At ang pangalan ng lalaki ay Nabal, at ang pangalan ng kanyang asawa ay Abigail. Ang babae ay may mabuting pang-unawa at maganda ang anyo, ngunit ang lalaki ay malupit at masama ang kanyang mga gawa; at siya ay mula sa angkan ni Caleb.
